New Years hi-jinx and disappointments.

So, as many new years do, the purple pandora had such ambitious resolutions for levity, patience, comfort, persistence.  Two thousand and eleven was meant to inspire and facilitate positive change.

I have failed.

That isn't to say that things are hopeless, or that I am personally pessimistic about the situation, I've just fallen short of expectations, that's all!  I still have work to do is what I'm saying.  And so we're continuing on with Zen House.  And the rules for Zen house are extraordinarily simple:

1) Detach yourself from that which is impermanent - Life operates on a fluctuating curve.  The best way to endure is to allow yourself to see that.
2) Relaxation sessions - Every week, for at least one hour, immerse yourself in a state of pure reflection and relaxation, whatever method works best for you.

3) Knowledge is a gift, meant to be shared - We all have unique gifts and talents.  True happiness is achieved by sharing the aspects of ourselves which make us unique with people we care about.
4) Bob Ross - Master of zen.  Nothing else even comes close.

So hopefully this helps in the end.  Of course I'll let you folks know, but for now, I'm just going to try to fulfill my own craving for a sense of accomplishment.  Aka.  Eat delicious food and draw a picture!
